After chatting with the lovely Frolicka, they kindly sent me this cute little kit; Ooh By Je Joue, London Love In, free of charge in exchange for an honest unbiased review.
Frolicka are a pretty new venture in which they source the lowest priced products and discounts around and provide you with a comparison style site. There are also sexy tips and advice and some erotica thrown in for good measure.
The London Love In pack arrives in a bright pink, bag like packaging. With Ooh’s Logo and the title ‘London Love in’ on the front as well as a hetero couple looking out at the London Sky Line. A different theme than most packaging you see these days. It has a fun, bright really British feel with the London sights highlighted subtly but with an overall bold feel. On the back a description of your packs contents; Large Motor, Vibrating Pebble (1) and Cock Ring (3). This product is waterproof and rechargeable as well as body safe silicone and presumably ABS plastic but I couldn’t find this out for definite. Inside the 3 pieces are nestled onto inverted or protruding plastic moulds all sat in a row along with your charging cable and information booklets.
I love the fact that it’s waterproof (when connected to an attachment) and also rechargeable, such a plus these days. I like the whole idea of the pick and mix aspect of the product, there are several different attachments that work with either the large or the small motor. Being able to mix and match your attachments with just one motor is a really appealing thought for me. Variety is the spice of life and all that! There is also a ‘Her name was Rio’ kit and a ‘What happens in Vegas’ kit.
It’s pretty simple to change the attachments, just squeeze the 2 little arrows on either side of the silicone and you can slide it off and just pop a new one on. A little tricky sometime, hitting just the right spot and pressure and especially with lubey hands, I did struggle a bit but it was manageable.
I love bright colours but I was a little disappointed that Ooh By Je Joue opted for a stereotypical pink for the clit pebble and blue for the cock ring. A bit of variety would have been nice, I do love the colour of the blue though. Girls like blue too!! Looking at the contained leaflet with other attachments there do seem to be a nice bright mix of options available overall. Like the clit stimulating pebble also comes in yellow…I don’t think I own a single sexy item in that colour, so this I like!
The controls on the motor are a simple one button, press and hold for a couple of seconds to turn on, keep pressing for 3 different levels of continuous vibes and 2 pulses. I’m happy that there are fewer patterns to skip past as I’m not generally a fan to be honest.
So down to the nitty gritty, the Vibrations…I tried out the Pebble to start. First level is a low continued vibration. It almost has a very subtle pulse like feel to it, deep and rumbly. A very pleasant surprise! I actually really liked this sensation. When using a clit vibe I do like to tap, tap, tap against my clit sometimes as that’s just what it likes, so this almost replicates that. Skipping up a level, you can still feel that pulse and the vibrations still have a nice rumble that hits the deeper levels on and around my clit. Not just buzzy and shallow. I’m very happy with this second level. I found that I jumped up to the third level for a while as it really does have quite a decent bit of power behind it but I then ended up doing a circuit and coming back to this second level. The third does feel a bit buzzier unfortunately but its power did do the trick. Coming back round to the second level just finished it…more like me off nicely. The silicone is lovely and silky smooth and feels nice and luxurious. A water based lube is the recommended type to protect your silicone toy and this just adds a sexy, gliding sensation when using the Pebble. I like the shape of this product as it has the potential to provide broader, wider stimulation or more precise depending on how you hold it.
The patterns are ok as well. You can still feel that rumble on these, so much better than a lot I’ve come across but I just don’t tend to linger much here. Although I mentioned that tapping on my clit, the patterns never quite do it right but that subtle pulse on the low and mid level continued vibes definitely does it for me 😉
The Cock Ring attachment was a little difficult for me to review in the full sense. I am in a same sex relationship so do not have a penis on hand to test this with, therefore it was placed on a dildo so I could at least tell you about my experience even if I can’t tell you how it feels if you’re the man wearing it :-/
So, slipping this gorgeous blue cock ring onto my chosen stunt dick proved relatively easy. With a little tugging and wiggling it was at a decent place to hopefully give me some stimulation when inserted. I cannot say if this would be a difficult or painful process on a real live penis but I’m sure with a bit of lube it shouldn’t be too traumatising!
I did have to alter the position when the stunt dick was inserted to make sure it was hitting my clit but then again I didn’t have to worry about another person being attached so I fiddled around at my leisure to get it just right. All vibrations and patterns are obviously the same but it is transferred slightly differently through the shape of the attachment. On the cock ring the transference seemed pretty good actually; the part that touched my clit as I was thrusting was a pleasant sensation. Depending on your thrust intensity will vary how much contact the cock ring makes with your clit, shallow thrusts more contact, longer thrusts less so. I would imagine the wearer of the cock ring would also receive a lot of stimulation. I did ask my stunt dick but probably luckily I’m not yet getting replies from any of the inanimate objects I talk to. 😉
This is a very straight couple based kit and if that’s what you are after I think this is great. For me I couldn’t get enough from the cock ring to really rate it highly but it is again a silky smooth silicone, a quality build and appears to have good vibration transference from that motor.
Cleaning is easy when an attachment is in place; it is fully waterproof but just make sure you pay attention to the logo that’s embedded in the power button and the arrows on the side. I do wish they had left off the logo on the power button though. As it is recessed it’s harder to get to and isn’t really necessary.
Charging is a breeze, there is a silicone covered charging port on the motor, so just fold this back and insert the USB charging cable. A definite thumbs up for this, it was easy to use and thoughtfully covered with that flap of silicone to protect it from any stray fluids.
Overall I think these kits from Ooh By Je Joue are pretty cute and quirky. There is some kick behind the vibrations; it’s waterproof and rechargeable as well as body safe. All these tick boxes for me. I’m sure one of the other kits would suit me better but I think this could be a great little investment for many couples at £55.00. It’s nice to see there is some meat behind these kits and that they aren’t just a gimmicky product that can’t hold its own.
Only real let downs for me are the unnecessary logo on the power button, and the stereotype colour choices on this particular kit. I wish the third continuous vibration level had managed to keep that rumbly feel as well but all in all a great little package.
